1. What data we collect

FocusModes stores the following data that you create inside the app:

  • Session history — focus block start time, end time, mode used, and completion status
  • Care activity history — local records of completed care prompts
  • Preferences — selected mode, appearance, notification, movement, and desk settings
  • Custom modes that you create and save on your device

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or any account credentials
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics, crash logs, or behavioural telemetry

3. How data is stored

On-device. FocusModes stores its history, settings, and custom modes locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage and app group defaults. No FocusModes data is sent to a SummitNinety server. We operate no product backend for this app.

4. Notifications

FocusModes schedules local notifications on-device to signal phase changes and care intervals. No notification content is sent to external servers. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in FocusModes → Settings or in iOS Settings → FocusModes.

5. Widgets

FocusModes includes an optional home-screen stats widget. The widget reads a lightweight on-device summary from the same app group storage as the app. No timer state or session data is sent externally.

6. Accounts and payments

FocusModes 1.2 has no account system, sign-in flow, subscription, or in-app purchase. You do not create an account with SummitNinety to use the app.

7. Third-party SDKs and analytics

FocusModes contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no Facebook, Google, or similar integrations.

8. Clearing your data

You can remove all local history at any time via FocusModes → Settings → Clear Activity History. Deleting the app removes the remaining local data stored by the app.

9. Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly:

  • Access — your session history is visible inside the app
  • Delete — use Settings → Clear Activity History, or delete the app to remove all data

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
