StudyFlow Privacy Policy

StudyFlow Privacy Policy

StudyFlow is made by Scott Munning, trading as SummitNinety. This policy explains what data StudyFlow collects, how it is stored, and your rights.

Last updated: 1 March 2026

1. What data we collect

StudyFlow stores the following data that you create inside the app:

  • Tasks — title, subject, due date, effort, priority, notes, completion status
  • Classes (timetable blocks) — subject, day, start/end time, location, recurrence
  • Study sessions — start time, end time, subject, status (planned / completed / skipped)
  • Scheduler preferences — availability windows, session length, daily caps, and related settings
  • Study timer logs — subject and duration of manual timer sessions
  • App settings — colour scheme, academic level, notification preferences

What we do not collect

We do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or any account credentials
  • Location data beyond optional room labels you type yourself
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics, crash logs, or behavioural telemetry

2. How data is stored

On-device. All data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Core Data. iCloud. If you are signed into iCloud, your data is automatically synchronised to your private iCloud database via Apple's CloudKit framework. Only you (and Apple, per their iCloud terms: apple.com/legal/internet-services/icloud/) can access this data. SummitNinety has no access to your iCloud database. We operate no servers of our own that store your data.

3. Notifications

StudyFlow can send local notifications to remind you when tasks are due. These notifications are generated entirely on your device. No notification content is sent to external servers. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in StudyFlow → Settings → Notifications or in iOS Settings → StudyFlow.

4. In-app purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. StudyFlow does not receive or store your payment card details or billing address. Please see Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy/ for information about how Apple handles payment data.

5. Third-party SDKs and analytics

StudyFlow contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no Facebook, Google, or similar integrations.

6. Children

StudyFlow is designed for secondary and university students. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Because your data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you control it directly:

  • Access / export — your data is in your iCloud account and can be viewed via the app
  • Delete — deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud data can be deleted by removing the app and clearing iCloud Drive data for StudyFlow in iOS Settings
  • Portability — data export features are on the product roadmap

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
