StudyFlow privacy policy
How StudyFlow handles your data
This page publishes the existing StudyFlow privacy policy in the website legal template. The source of truth remains the StudyFlow product policy, adapted here only for web presentation and easier reading.
Last updated: 1 March 2026
1. What data we collect
StudyFlow stores the data you create inside the app so planning works as expected. It does not collect names, email addresses, account credentials, advertising identifiers, analytics, crash logs, or behavioural telemetry.
- Tasks: title, subject, due date, effort, priority, notes, and completion status.
- Classes: subject, day, start and end time, location, and recurrence.
- Study sessions: start time, end time, subject, and planned, completed, or skipped status.
- Scheduler preferences, study timer logs, and app settings such as theme, academic level, and notifications.
2. How data is stored
All StudyFlow data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Core Data. If you are signed into iCloud, your data can also sync to your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit framework. Summit Ninety does not run servers that store your StudyFlow data.
- On-device storage is the primary storage model.
- Optional iCloud sync goes to your private iCloud database, not a Summit Ninety server.
- Apple access is governed by Apple's iCloud terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/icloud/.
3. Notifications
StudyFlow can send local reminders when tasks are due. These notifications are generated entirely on your device, and no notification content is sent to external servers.
- You can enable or disable notifications in StudyFlow settings.
- You can also control notifications in iOS Settings for StudyFlow.
4. In-app purchases
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. StudyFlow does not receive or store your payment card details or billing address.
- Payment handling follows Apple's systems and policies.
- Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
5. Third-party SDKs and analytics
StudyFlow contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no Facebook, Google, or similar tracking integrations in the app.
6. Children
StudyFlow is designed for secondary and university students. Summit Ninety does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Because your data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you control it directly. You can access it through the app, remove local data by deleting the app, and clear iCloud data through iOS settings. Data export remains on the product roadmap.
- Access and export: your data is visible in the app and in your iCloud account context.
- Delete: removing the app removes local data; iCloud data can be cleared through StudyFlow iCloud settings on iOS.
- Privacy questions or requests: privacy@summitninety.com.
8. Changes to this policy
Summit Ninety may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes. Continued use of the app after those changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
